Round table pizza in Newport Beach located at 4551 Jamboree rd. Telephone # 949-261-2222 Employees refused to answer the phone and take a new order 15 mins prior to closing.

I have taken screenshots of my callog to show that i called 3 times with no answer. I also have a screenshot of their listing saying that they dont close until 10 pm. I dont know what round tables policies are but every other chain pizza business always and i mean always take orders up until they close.

This is extremely poor customer service that reflects upon your business and has left you with a very unsatisfied customer. I recommend that something should be done about this poor showing of customer service.

What difference does it make if all the other pizza places take orders right up until they close. IF that is really the case why didn't you order from one of them, when you allegedly know that they take orders until the last minute.

A lot of businesses quit taking orders, letting customers into the business, etc. 15 minutes before the actual closing time, so that they can get last minute closing duties done, without having employees stay longer than their scheduled time.

Honey, this isn't the web site for Round Table Pizza. You are on a general complaint site.

So ALL the other pizza places take orders right up to the actual closing time. That doesn't mean they all have to. It is perfectly acceptable for a place to close a few minutes before the time posted so that they can get certain closing duties performed.

If they had taken your order 15 minutes before closing that would mean their employees would have had to stay later, and maybe overtime would have had to be paid. Furthermore, put yourself in the employees place, IF you had already put in your shift time, wouldn't you have been anxious to get home?

You are dead wrong about restaurants not taking orders before close. If they have a sign that states what time they close, then they should take orders up until that time.

i was a manager for 15 years at Domino's and Pizza hut, they are required to take orders all the way to close, otherwise why even have a time set for hours to begin with. And as far as labor goes, time is allotted on the schedule for closing and clean up.

You have no idea what you are talking about. You obviously have never worked in a restaurant setting.
